The XPI injection system is at the heart of modern Scania engines. We keep training our technicians on it so they get the diagnosis right the first time.
XPI, which stands for Extra High Pressure Injection, is the common rail injection system on modern Scania engines. It runs at very high pressure under electronic control, which allows several precise injections in every cycle. The result is lower fuel consumption, lower emissions and a smoother running engine.
Why training makes the difference
A symptom like hard starting, loss of power or smoke can come from different parts of the system. It might be the low pressure circuit, the high pressure pump, the rail or the injectors. A rushed diagnosis often ends with expensive parts being replaced when they didn’t need to be.
That is why we run our own seminars for our technicians. They focus on:
- understanding how each part of the system works,
- diagnosing step by step, starting from the symptom,
- keeping everything clean during the work, because in a high pressure system even a tiny amount of dirt can cause damage,
- documenting every job properly.
The training material is on our internal platform, so our technicians can go back to it whenever they need to.
What it means for you
Less downtime, and you don’t pay for parts you didn’t need. If the Scania engine in your boat or machine is acting up, call or write to us.
